This is really late...Our meeting Last thursday......

I am so sorry this is a bit late (about a week)
but here is an update to our meeting from last thursday.

We had a great time.
First off, we were able to sew some really great rice heating pads. Not only are they completely AWESOME. They smell really good to, which is great when you really want to de-stress and relax!

Next Meeting- October 28th:
Theme: Fit for the King
Activity: Enjoy a morning of light exercise in order to be "Fit for our KING!!" Wear comfortable gym cloths and bring a towel. MOMS will provide bottled water.
Service: Supplies Drive for LLBC's Preschool Dept.! Please bring Clorox wipes, Clorox anywhere spray, Diapers and wipes, Pull ups, new children's underwear, and gently used clothing to donate to the LLBC's Preschool Department.
Hospitality: Soups and Salads, Provided by the White Lily of the Valley and Blue Iris! Please contact Taryn Bright to sign up to bring a dish.

If you still have any of the yard sale signs out, PLEASE bring them back at our next meeting. WE NEED THESE BACK!

Pumpkin Pickin'

We made our way to Lyon's Pumpkin Patch this morning. We had a BLAST and can't wait to go again next year!! There was SO much to do. We enjoyed story time in the barn, petting LOTS of animals, a corn maze, lots of slides and games, and of course riding a wagon pulled by a tractor out into the field to pick our very own PUMPKINS!!

It was a wonderful success! Lots of fellowship, new friends were made, and there were some AMAZING DEALS!

What a day..what a day!!

This morning, we at M.O.M.S. were extremely busy setting up for the Little Lambs Consignment Sale. You really do not want to miss this. There is SO MUCH great stuff! We have pretty much everything you can think of for children! From Newborn Clothes to some Junior size Clothes. Awesome Halloween Costumes, Christmas wear (There are some GORGEOUS dresses for the little princesses in your life)(And some really neat Handsome Outfits for the little Prince's in your life as well), there are some Handmade items as well! There are Cribs, Toddler Beds, Lots and Lots and Lots and LOTS of toys. (Did I mention Toys). Jumperoos, Swings, Excersaucers, Strollers, and so much more!!
Don't forget our vendors as well. We have Jewelry, Advocare, Purses, Bows, and lots more (I just know I am forgetting some of our vendors..sorry. but there is just so much stuff there!! Its HUGE this year!!
We are also having and INCREDIBLE bake sale!!!

So please, Come out tomorrow morning!!!! We'll be open from 9am-to 5pm.
as well as Saturday, we are open from 9am-2pm, with the last two hours of the sale (12-2) is HALF PRICE!!!!!!
So please come out and support Moms of Many Strengths!!! This sale is SO HUGE this year!!! You will find a lot of great finds, for great prices.....




The directions are: If you are on Highway 72 in Athens. Turn onto Lindsay Lane (You'll see Publix Supermarket, you will be turning then). After you turn onto Lindsay Lane, Publix will be on your right. Then you will see the HUGE Linsday Lane Baptist Church on the Left.
The FLC (Family Life Center) will be in the back of the church. (Seperate Building)..

Thursdays meeting was Fantastic!

Thursday, September 23rd we had a fantastic meeting! We had 34 moms in attendance with 2 being brand new!! Welcome Aboard and we hope you'll come back!!!!
Our theme was Spiritual Gifts.

What a great meeting we had!!

Our Game day on Sept. 9th turned into a much needed and enjoyed fellowship hour. I hope you guys were able to get to know someone new! For those who could not be there you were missed. Moms Spotlight

In the coming weeks, We'd love to do a spotlight on our moms!
I'm in the process of finding some great questionaires and I'll be sneding them to you soon. Please let us know whether or not you'll be interested in this. It will be a great way to get to know each other and find out things that we have in common!

SUCCESS!!

Our Kickoff Party was a SUCCESS!! We had 41 MOMS in attendance with 9 being brand new to our group! I am overflowing with excitement about the new year and the opportunities we will have to reach new moms and to give back to our community.

Next meeting will be September 9th.

We have some exciting activities planed for this upcoming year and we want you to be a part of it. MOMS is a time to escape the busyness of motherhood and to enjoy the company of other moms who are facing the same challenges that you face.

Our first meeting of the new year is August 26th. Please plan on arriving by 9:15am to get your child/ren settled into their room and for you to get settled into our meeting place at the Family Life Center. Please invite along a mom you know would love MOMS too! We will begin the first meeting promptly at 9:30am. There will be a special door prize drawing for the moms who arrive on time!

We have childcare available for children birth through 5 years old. If you or anyone you invite needs childcare for children over 5 please contact MOMS at momsofmanystrengths@hotmail.com at least four days prior each meeting to make special arrangements. Even though we do not ask our MOMS to preregister we would like to know if you and your children are planning on attending our program. Please e-mail MOMS at momsofmanystrengths@hotmail.com if you plan to join us on August 26th. Make sure to include your child/rens names and birth dates so we can best prepare for you and child/ren.

Again, please consider joining us. We sincerely hope that the relationships formed in this MOMS group will change your life for years to come.

Playdate at Amelia Smith's house on Thursday, April 29th, at 9:30. Come out and enjoy the nice weather while we let the kids play in the backyard! Bring a snack and drink for each child.

Strawberry Pickin': Thursday, May 6th. Let's head out to the strawberry patch to pick our own strawberries! More info to come by e-mail.

Our final meeting is MAY 13th!! We will be having a Seed/Bulb swap. Everyone will leave our final meeting with seeds or bulbs that can be planted and used as a reminder of MOMS throughout the summer! Everyone is asked to help with refreshments.
